The Authors
Roomi Kalita is a Process Engineer for Advanced Distillation Systems at GTC Technology US LLC. She has more than 5 yr of experience in the process industry, and worked previously for Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. and Fluor Corp. in the refining and petrochemical areas. Ms. Kalita earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Trichy, India, and her MS degree in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Amit Kanda is Project Manager at GTC Technology and has more than 15 yr of experience in process technology, detailed engineering and plant operations. He specializes in project execution and has managed several projects. He received a BS degree in chemical engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in India, and an MS degree in chemical engineering from the the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
