Albemarle to increase prices of mineral flame retardants

Albemarle Corp. will increase prices of its MARTINAL flame retardants on global shipments beginning October 1, 2010, or as contracts allow at the following rates:  MARTINAL ON ground and low-viscosity grades by 10%; MARTINAL LEO fine precipitated grades by 15%; and MARTINAL LE fine precipitated grades by 20%.

Albemarle's mineral flame retardants are part of the company's fire safety solutions within the polymer solutions business segment.
