BASF picks N America care chemicals distributors
BASF has entered into agreements with nine distributors who will represent its personal care and selected home care businesses in North America, the company said on Monday.
BASF's acquisition of Cognis in December 2010 combined the range of products of both companies and broadened the portfolio, creating the opportunity to restructure the distribution network to better serve personal care customers.
"After a thorough selection process, we formed a new distribution network that will enhance our market focus, sales excellence and industry expertise," said Frank Bergonzi, director of corporate distribution for BASF in North America.
Effective January 1, 2012, the following companies will form the distribution network:
ChemTec
GMZ
FitzChem
McCullough & Assoc
DeWolf
SeaLand
Brenntag Specialties Inc.
Brenntag Canada
Pachem
"Our newly integrated personal care team along with an efficient distribution network will provide our customers with the most comprehensive product portfolio in the industry, Bergonzi said.
