Quadrimex Chemical develops its activities in Asian refineries
Dedicated for more than 30 yr to niche chemical specialties, Quadrimex Chemical proved once again its expertise to deal with specific industrial issues through a tailor-made approach, the company said in a press release.
In Singapore, Quadrimex Chemical’s customer was facing two major challenges: increase the flow rate of the diesel unit while maintaining the “clear and bright” quality of the final product.
To deal with these challenges, the Quadrimex Chemical engineering division designed a new diesel drying unit especially for the customer. The Newton’s dryer was implemented between the existing vacuum dryer and the diesel storage tank.
Newton’s is the Quadrimex Chemical brand dedicated to the design of dryer units in addition to dehydrating and deliquescent agents made in special shape of briquettes (Water Trap) manufactured in Cavaillon (France). This technology is promoted in the refining, petrochemicals and chemicals industries.
Therefore, the refinery managed to increase by 20% the flow rate and to reach, at the same time, the 80-ppm water specification on the hydrocarbon at the end of the process. A “clear and bright” product that meets the requirements of the customers and the market.
Thanks to this success, Quadrimex Chemical just signed two new projects in Taïwan and in India.
