Valmet to supply a Valmet DNA automation system to a bio-based raw material production plant in Portugal
Valmet will supply a Valmet DNA automation system (DCS) to a bio-based feedstock production plant in Portugal. The order was placed by Valmet's new local distribution partner Tecnilab AV Portugal S.A. Valmet DNA will replace the plant's existing automation system in connection with the production expansion.
The order is included in Valmet's second quarter 2025 orders. Its value is not disclosed. The system will be deployed by the end of 2025.
Valmet and Tecnilab AV have signed a dealership and partnership agreement under which Tecnilab will provide solutions based on Valmet's automation system to process industry customers in Portugal, Spain and Africa (excluding South Africa).
"Valmet DNA combines all process automation into the same system when our customer expands its production. The new system helps to achieve higher production and quality targets. Even though production volumes are increasing, the Valmet DNAe user interface makes the work of users easier," saysHelder Pereira, Commercial Director of Tecnilab AV.
