Nigeria's Dangote refinery plans 15-d shutdown of gasoline unit

Nigeria's Dangote oil refinery is planning a 15-d maintenance shutdown of its gasoline-making residue fluid catalytic cracking (RFCC) unit, tentatively starting on August 10, according to a note from industry monitor IIR.

"The shutdown is for urgent repair work on the regenerator section due to a significant catalyst loss issue," the note said, adding that the 204,000 barrel-per-day unit has been operating at 60% capacity recently.
