Mexico's Olmeca refinery restarting units after power outage

Mexico's Olmeca refinery, also known as Dos Bocas, has restarted some units after heavy rain last week caused a power outage at the plant (learn more), industry monitor IIR Energy said on Tuesday.

The 340,000-bpd refinery, which has not yet operated at full capacity, has brought back online two crude distillation units and the main gasoline producing unit, IIR Energy said.

Those units are running at reduced rates while Pemex, Mexico's state energy company, is indicating personnel are working to restart other units at the refinery, IIR Energy said.
