NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Delta Air Lines Inc is preparing to market gasoline from a refinery it owns outside Philadelphia, signaling a shift in strategy toward managing the plant as a commercial refiner rather than a dedicated jet fuel supplier.

FMC, Technip announce Brazilian antitrust clearance of merger
HOUSTON and PARIS – FMC Technologies, Inc. and Technip today announced that the pending combination between the companies has received a clearance decision issued by the General Superintendent of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), the Brazilian antitrust authority. The decision is subject to a 15-day waiting period.
ACC launches center to support companies, new chemical safety act
WASHINGTON – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) announced the creation of the Center for Chemical Safety Act Implementation, a scientific, technical and advocacy hub that will assist companies with the implementation of the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (LCSA), bipartisan legislation enacted to modernize the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
US EPA, Canyon Plastics come to agreement about Clean Water Act violations
LOS ANGELES — The US Environmental Protection Agency has reached an agreement with Canyon Plastics, Inc. to resolve federal Clean Water Act violations. The company has corrected the deficiencies found at its facility in Valencia, Calif., and obtained a stormwater permit. In addition to paying a $19,000 penalty, Canyon Plastics has committed to install new recycling equipment at a cost of $292,000.

According to <i>Hydrocarbon Processing’s</i> Construction Boxscore Database, nearly 470 new projects have been announced in the downstream hydrocarbon processing industry over the past two years. New project announcements have fallen from 285 in 2015 to 185 in 2016. This trend analysis represents a year-over-year decrease of approximately 35%.
