The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI) announced the formal launch of ISA-100.11a certification services. With official testing of devices completed in late June 2010, participating suppliers can now offer ISA-100.11a-certified products.

ABB has completed its acquisition of the Prairieville, Louisiana, company K-TEK, which becomes part of the Measurement Products business unit within ABB’s Process Automation division.

Honeywell acquires Matrikon
Honeywell has acquired Matrikon for $139 million. Matrikon will be integrated with the advanced solutions business of Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS). Matrikon’s open connectivity in process control business, MatrikonOPC, will operate as a separate business entity within HPS.
