Vietnam's Nghi Son refinery secures crude oil to operate through end-September
The operator of Vietnam's largest oil refinery, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC, has secured sufficient crude oil for its operations through to the end of September, state energy firm Petrovietnam said.
The refinery can now process 10 types of crude oil, Petrovietnam said in a statement. The facility was originally designed to process only Kuwait Export Crude.

The 200,000-bpd refinery produced 4.1 million metric tons of refined petroleum products in the first half of this year.

It imported 39 million barrels of crude oil in the first half, including 18 million barrels of Kuwait Export Crude.

Japan's Idemitsu Kosan Co and Kuwait Petroleum both hold 35.1% stakes in the refinery, with 25.1% held by Petrovietnam and 4.7% belonging to Mitsui Chemicals Inc.
