Siemens opens doors to new facility serving Gulf Coast O&G industry
Siemens opened the doors of a new service center in Geismar, La, devoted to serving the region’s oil and gas industry, and related markets. Judy Marks, CEO for Siemens USA and Executive Vice President for New Equipment Solutions at the Dresser-Rand business, and Tim Holt, CEO for Siemens Power Generation Services Division, were among several senior executives who joined employees for a special ribbon cutting ceremony at the facility.

Fairway begins operations at Houston crude oil storage facility
HOUSTON – Fairway Energy Partners, LLC announced that it has commenced initial commercial operation at its Pierce Junction Crude Oil Storage Facility. Utah establishes gasoline and diesel refinery exemption
DALLAS -- Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed Senate Bill 197—effective Jan. 1, 2018—establishing an exemption for the purchase or lease of machinery, equipment, normal operating repair or replacement parts, catalysts, chemicals, reagents, solutions or supplies used or consumed by a refiner who owns, leases, operates, controls or supervises a refinery used to produce gasoline or diesel fuel.

(Reuters) -- The controversial Dakota Access Pipeline will begin interstate crude oil delivery on May 14, according to a filing with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
EIA: US retail gasoline prices this summer expected slightly higher than 2016
Drivers in the US will pay an average of $2.46 per gal this summer for regular gasoline, according to forecasts in EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO). Gasoline prices from April through September are expected to be 23 cents/gal higher than the average price last summer, but this price is still nearly 70 cents/gal below the previous five-year average. The gasoline price increase this summer primarily reflects slightly higher forecast crude oil prices.
