Cheniere taps Bechtel to engineer LNG expansion at Louisiana export site

Cheniere said it intends to give Bechtel a notice to proceed with construction for the third and fourth liquefaction trains upon achieving acceptable financing arrangements and making a final investment decision. Construction for the third and fourth trains is expected to begin in the first half of 2013.

The pact - along with additional indications of interes - allows Cheniere to move ahead with the development of the fifth train. The company's LNG-export project at its Sabine Pass operation initially was designed and permitted for as many as four modular LNG trains. A sixth train also is being considered.

NuStar to sell small San Antonio refinery to Calumet

The 14,500-bpd, soon-to-be-sold refinery produces and sells various products, including jet fuels, ultra-low sulfur diesel, and other highly specialized fuels. The Elmendorf terminal, located about 12 miles away from the refinery, stores the crude oil that is processed at the refinery.
