BP says emerging economies will lead energy growth to 2030
World energy growth over the next 20 years is expected to be dominated by emerging economies such as China, India, Russia and Brazil while improvements in energy efficiency measures are set to accelerate, according to BP’s latest projection of energy trends, the BP Energy Outlook 2030.

Chevron and Kyushu Electric sign LNG deal
Chevron’s Australian subsidiary has signed a sales and purchase Agreement (SPA)with Kyushu Electric Power Co. for a portion of Chevron's offtake of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Gorgon Project. Under the binding agreement, Kyushu Electric will receive 0.3 million tpy of LNG from the Gorgon project for up to 20 years beginning in 2015.

Exxon Mobil and Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) announced today that they have selected Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding, to build four LNG carriers in China.
Hyperion to supply simulator for ethylene plant in India
Hyperion Systems Engineering will supply the operator training simulator for an ethylene cracker and associated units, which form part of a polymer complex to be built in Dahej, India, that will manufacture 1.1 million tpy of ethylene, 400,000 tpy of propylene, 150,000 tpy of benzene and 115,000 tpy of butadiene.
IndianOil signs off on LanzaTech ethanol demo
IndianOil and LanzaTech have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for collaboration in a technology demonstration that will enable IndianOil to produce fuel grade ethanol. As a part of the collaboration, IndianOil will evaluate LanzaTech’s proprietary gas fermentation technology in one of its refineries to produce fuel grade ethanol.
