UOP, Ensyn venture wins sustainable biofuel award for conversion technology
Envergent Technologies, a joint venture of UOP and Ensyn, has been given an award in the category of sustainable biofuels for its contributions toward sustainable biopower generation facilities. Envergent’s RTP technology is currently in use in seven commercial biomass processing plants in the US and Canada.
SABIC picks Jacobs for engineering on Netherlands olefins cracker upgrade
Jacobs has been awarded a contract from SABIC to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services to support the upgrade of an olefins at SABIC's complex in Geleen, The Netherlands. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2013.

Foster Wheeler has signed a strategic umbrella agreement with Dow Chemical for the provision of project management, consulting, engineering, procurement, construction management, and construction services. The deal offers support by Foster Wheeler to selected Dow global capital projects, the companies said.
Linde to supply gases for Sadara Chemical venture
The Linde Group signed a contract with Sadara Chemical in which Linde will supply Sadara with carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H2) and ammonia (NH3) at a chemical complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The on-site gases supply contract includes a HyCO facility for the production of CO and H2 plus an ammonia plant.
