Chevron recovers less oil than first expected from Utah diesel pipeline leak
Chevron is dealing with the fallout of the March 18 leak, which resulted in 600 bbl of diesel from its refinery in Salt Lake City spilling into marshes close to a freshwater lake in Willard Bay State Park. The company has to date recovered 354 bbl, down from the 500 bbl it said it had collected Friday.

The Geismar capacity will be increased to 500,000 tpy, up from 450,000 tpy, through improved process technology developed by Huntsman. The expansion leverages the advantages of the Geismar site, with its access to US shale gas, strong logistics base and excellent integration, the company said.
Petrobras gets purchase offer for Japan refinery
A Singapore-based company has proposed a $650 million deal to Petrobras, including $80 million for the Nansei Sekiyu refinery in Okinawa and $570 million for oil and oil-derivatives stocks at the refinery complex, the Valor Economico newspaper said, citing sources with knowledge of the negotiations.
