Strobel Energy Group to design, construct Prairie Catalytic ethyl acetate facility
CLARKS, Neb. — Strobel Energy Group announced that it has executed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) agreement with Prairie Catalytic, LLC, a subsidiary of Greenyug, LLC, to design and construct its commercial scale Bio-Ethanol to Ethyl Acetate facility in Nebraska. Ethyl Acetate is a specialty solvent used extensively in products such as paints, coatings, pharmaceuticals, adhesives and a variety of consumer goods.

EIA: US fuel ethanol production continues to grow in 2017
Through the first six months of 2017, US weekly ethanol production averaged 1.02 MMbpd, an increase of 5% over the same period in 2016. On a weekly basis, US ethanol production set a record of 1.06 MMbpd in the week of Jan. 27, and it has averaged near or above 1 MMbpd in every week of 2017 except for a few weeks in April, when ethanol plants typically undergo seasonal maintenance. If ethanol production remains relatively high through the second half of the year, as EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) expects, 2017 will set a new record for annual fuel ethanol production.
ExxonMobil, University of Wisconsin-Madison to advance research into fuel from biomass
