Israeli government approves some gas exports
Israel approved the export of 40% of natural gas from the country's offshore Leviathan reserve, opening the way for an inflow of billion of dollars into the domestic economy.

NLNG, a joint venture between the Nigerian National Petroleum, Shell, Total, and Eni, had said the disrupted gas supply was the equivalent of 40%-50% of NLNG's usual total gas intake.
Foster Wheeler plans China substitute natural gas unit with Wison, Clariant
The pilot plant will demonstrate Foster Wheeler’s VESTA substitute natural gas (SNG) technology. Under the agreement, Wison Engineering will provide engineering and construction services, Foster Wheeler will license technology, and Clariant will supply the proprietary developed catalyst.
India looks to import more LNG from overseas
India is the fifth largest importer of LNG after Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and Spain, the minister said, adding that he expects the country's LNG demand to grow 5%-6% every year until 2020. India has already secured deals to import about 14 million metric tpy of gas.
Emerson to supply valve technologies for Chevron gas project in Australia
The contracts include over 1000 control valves, valve controllers and actuators for applications ranging from inlet gas processing, acid gas removal, liquefaction and fractionation to anti-surge and cryogenic. The wide scope of applications is matched by various valve materials to withstand harsh conditions.
Petronas plans to invest $20bn in British Columbia project for LNG exports
The company, known as Petronas, is planning two LNG trains of 6 million tpy each under the Pacific NorthWest LNG project by the end of 2019. The export terminal project in British Columbia was acquired by Petronas last year as part of its $5.2 billion purchase of Canada's Progress Energy Resources.
Japan, Europe launch joint study to cut LNG prices
Supply and demand situations should decide prices, and the two sides will study how they can eliminate oil-link pricing and the possible ramifications by such an elimination, a top Japanese official said.
BG inks new LNG supply deal with Chile's Endesa
After Henry Hub prices declined sharply, BG sought to renegotiate the conditions on long-term LNG supply contracts signed in 2007 with Endesa, state oil company Enap, and Metrogas. Endesa officials said the gas deal will help the development of new gas-fired projects in central Chile.
