HOUSTON, Texas — GTC Technology has provided its low-temperature Isomalk-2 process technology for the successful start-up of a light naphtha isomerization unit at the Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Ltd. refinery in Mumbai, India.
Neste Jacobs technology to be implemented at Haltermann Carless German site
Neste Jacobs, a global provider of technology, engineering and project services and Haltermann Carless, an HCS Group brand and provider of specialty hydrocarbons, have agreed to plan and engineer an upgrade and expansion of the Haltermann Carless' production site in Speyer, Germany. The parties have also signed a Letter of Intent for the EPCM services to be provided by Neste Jacobs.
Neste Jacobs delivers NAPCON solutions to Borealis Porvoo cracker
Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs has finished the upgrade of Borealis Porvoo Cracker Dynamic Real-Time Optimization (DRTO) and Advanced Process Control (APC) with NAPCON Optimizer and NAPCON Controller. Borealis cracker unit's existing APC and DRTO were upgraded to the latest version of NAPCON Controller and NAPCON Optimizer.
Gazprom Neft building a hydrogen production facility at its Omsk refinery
Gazprom Neft has begun construction of a standalone 12,300 tpy-capacity hydrogen production unit at its Omsk Refinery. This processing facility will provide high-purity (99.9%) hydrogen for new and reconstructed hydrotreatment facilities, intended to reduce the sulfur content of motor-fuel components (blending agents).

Diamond Green Diesel to expand renewable fuel capacity using Honeywell UOP technology
DES PLAINES, Ill. -- Honeywell UOP announced that the Diamond Green Diesel facility in Norco, La., will expand its annual production capacity of renewable diesel from 10,000 bpd to 18,000 bpd, using Honeywell UOP's Ecofining process technology.
Pöyry awarded engineering contract for Synthomer dispersion plant
Synthomer Deutschland GmbH has awarded Pöyry with the detail engineering services assignment for the revamp of its dispersion plant in Worms, Germany. The assignment includes detail engineering services for all disciplines as well as Health, Safety and Environment management, permitting engineering, cost control and project scheduling. Project is expected to be completed in the Q3 2018.
